To receive notifications about your sales, you need to create an application in Mercado Pago. This application will be used to connect our system with your Mercado Pago account, allowing you to create payment links and plans through this connection and receive notifications about payments and subscriptions in our system.
Creating a Mercado Pago application
To create the application, you need to access the Mercado Pago dashboard using your Mercado Pago account credentials. Once logged in, locate the “Settings” section in the sidebar, and then go to the “Integrations” section on the right side of the screen, as shown in the following image:
In that section, select “Create application” and fill in the requested information. If you’re not sure how to complete these fields, you can use the values shown in the image, as they will not affect the integration:

Application name: Any name that helps you identify your business

URL: Optional
-
Payment type: Online
-
How you built the store: It doesn’t matter; you can select “Custom development”

Payment solution: Also doesn’t matter; you can choose “Checkout Pro”
Once the application is created, you may need to refresh the page for it to appear in the list of applications. Next, you need to activate the application credentials by selecting the corresponding option as shown in the image.
To activate the credentials, Mercado Pago will ask you to specify your business industry. You can choose the category that best fits your business from the available options, or simply select “Other.” A website URL is also requested but completely optional.
Once the credentials are activated, you will be able to copy the “Access Token” value, highlighted in red in the following image.
Creating a connection for your application
The only information required to configure the connection is the country of your Mercado Pago account and the Access Token for your Mercado Pago application. Once created, you will see the connection listed as follows:
Obtaining Access Token
To obtain the “Access Token” required to create the connection, navigate to the “Production Credentials” section in the left sidebar of the Mercado Pago application panel and copy the value corresponding to the Access Token.
