Here are some key points in about how we access your Mercado Pago data.
Mercado Pago permissions we request and how we use them:
We request an access token that is generated by Mercado Pago when you create an application in their platform. The Mercado Pago application settings allows the user to set the permissions this token will have. The only mandatory permission needed for our application to work is the “Read” permission.
The access token is used by our system to get information about payments and subscriptions made through your Mercado Pago application. We only use the access token to get data about payments and subscriptions when they are are created or updated, and only when our system is notified by Mercado Pago if the user set up in the Mercado Pago application settings the webhook url we provide.
What we store:
- Mercado Pago access token: this data is provided to our system by the user and is securely encrypted to be accesible only by our system to carry out the expected service
- Mercado Pago payments and subscriptions information: this data is obtained from Mercado Pago by using the access token provided, and is temporary stored to provide the notifications service to external applications the user connects.
Please feel free to review the permissions you have allowed our app anytime and delete the Mercado Pago connection if you feel necessary. However this may disrupt expected functionality from the app. We encourage you to contact us if you or your team have any privacy or security related concerns via contact@notificationsformercadopago.com.
