Step 1: Create an Account on Make

To get started, you need to sign up at make.com. Make is a platform that allows you to create automations of varying complexity, integrating thousands of applications. Among them, you can use Notifications for Mercado Pago to manage events related to payments and subscriptions.

Once you have created your Make account, the next step is to create a new Scenario, where you will configure the automation using our application.

Step 2: Configure the Trigger

The first step in setting up a Scenario is defining the trigger, which is the event that will start the automation. Our platform provides different webhooks to activate these events in Make.

To configure it, search for the Notifications for Mercado Pago app in Make and select the trigger that best suits your automation. There are three options available: Payment Accredited, Subscription Authorized and Subscription Canceled

Once you have selected the event, Make will prompt you to create a Webhook. To do this, click “Create a Webhook” and assign it a name.

If this is your first time connecting our application to Make, you will be asked to enter an API Key to link your Notifications for Mercado Pago account with Make.

Important Note: This API Key is not the Mercado Pago access token. You must use the API Key found in the Settings section of your Notifications for Mercado Pago panel. The following image shows where this key is located in our application.

Once the API Key is entered, the connection will be established. Next, Make will prompt you to configure the webhook. For example, if you have selected Payment Approved, you can set filters to trigger automations only for specific payment links, allowing you to segment actions based on the product sold.

That’s it! Now that the trigger is set up, you can define which actions will be executed when the event occurs.

Step 3: Configure Actions in Make

Make allows you to create custom workflows based on a trigger, integrating a wide range of applications.

To add an action, Click the “+” button to add a new module and search for the application you want to work with and select the action to execute.

Example: Save Data in Google Sheets

Let’s say you want to record information for each sale made through Mercado Pago in a Google Sheets spreadsheet.

  1. Connect your Google account and select the Google Sheets app.
  2. Choose the file and the spreadsheet where you want to store the data.
  3. Assign each payment detail to a specific column in the sheet.

Make will display a list of all available properties in the trigger, along with sample values. Some of the most common properties include:

  • Payer Email → Buyer’s email.
  • Description → Product description.
  • Transaction Amount → Transaction amount.

Step 4: Finalize the Automation

The configuration steps may vary depending on the application you choose. For more details, refer to the specific documentation for each integration in Make.

With this setup, your automation will be ready to run whenever the selected event in Notifications for Mercado Pago is triggered. 🚀
